I woke up this morning and took a long breezy ride on my new Schwinn bike. This experience stirred up many gratitude memories – the bargain price, finding it in stock, right in my home town, how pretty it is (even though it is white and purple, not indigo), the discounts I nabbed on the accessories, a new option for transportation, and the pleasant exercise challenge cycling offers. Every time I pass my bike in the garage, I can’t help but smile and feel all happy inside.

Add Comment www.ReallyGoodLife.com Last year around Christmastime I read the book A Complaint Free World: How To Stop Complaining And Start Enjoying The Life You Always Wanted by Will Bowen. It's a sweet book written by a minister who realized that by not complaining his entire world shifted, and so too did the lives of his congregation. (Law of Attraction, anyone? :) www.JohnofPeniel.com “Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.” ~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe I am amazed how often I hear the words “with my luck.” Our general society has a several standard phrases that we all tend to take for granted, the aforementioned being the poster child. Statements like “with my luck” have an underlying belief that is the driving force of what is being created in the person’s life. As these words are uttered, we often no longer even look at the meaning behind them. When someone says it, they usually are not thinking the “luck” is good. In fact the implied tone that comes with the phrase says quite the opposite. The overwhelming implication is ”poor me.” liveinjoy.org
"Sometimes, when it is all, finally, too much, I climb into my car, roll the windows up, and somewhere between backing out the driveway and rounding the next corner, I let out a yell that would topple Manhattan. How do you pray?" by Margaret L. Mitchell, as quoted in The Feminine Face of God, p. 124. My friend Cindy Greb posted this on her Facebook page and I knew I had to respond since it spoke so vividly to the ways I blow off steam AND pray. My response to her was: "Sometimes a good aaaarrrggghhhh is as potent and healing as a good o0o0o00o0o0mmmmm (: I pray every which way imaginable, depending on what state of mind I am in the moment. ♥” www.VisiblebyNumbers.com

Take for a moment all the prophecy and predictions off the table. This is not a debate as to whether it will happen or not. Instead, just consider this one question. “If ONLY 10% of the world's population believe that 12/21/2012 spells disaster, what would happen?" www.LightseedsOffice.com I've been reading more of my favorite teacher Abraham, about allowing versus making. If all I could ever want is already out there in the ethers just waiting for my call, then I need to call! But more than that, I need to pave the road. I have a picture in mind of a jungle expedition - there is a caravan of goodies waiting to take off and be delivered to me, and I need to clear the path for them through the tangle of brush. Clearing the road is not work, it's the "action" of relaxing and allowing. I watch as more and more of the path opens up, simply by my intent and desire. The minute I decide to speed it up and interfere, the overgrowth takes over like in the movies. When I relax again and say "yes, thank you, I can feel my abundance coming, I can hear the footsteps and the jingle of the horses' harness and I accept it", THEN the overgrowth magically disappears! Way to create, Matson! |
